Why the UK

Why Pakistani students choose the UK

A short degree, a wide choice of universities and a route to work after graduation make the UK one of the most popular study destinations.

Internationally recognised degrees

UK qualifications are widely known to employers and universities around the world.

Shorter courses

Most taught master's degrees take one year, which can reduce both tuition and living costs compared with longer programmes.

A wide choice of courses

Universities across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland offer thousands of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Work after your degree

Graduates of bachelor's and master's courses can apply for the Graduate visa to work or look for work. It is 2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026, and 18 months from 1 January 2027.

Scholarships and fee discounts

Many universities offer awards for international students. We help you find the ones you can apply for.

Support from day one

FAQs

Studying in the UK: common questions

Do I need IELTS to study in the UK?

Universities ask for proof of English, but the accepted tests and scores differ by university and course. Your counsellor will confirm the requirement for each course on your shortlist. See our guide to IELTS vs PTE.

Can I work while I study?

Student visa holders may be allowed limited part-time work. The rules depend on your course level and visa conditions, so check them before you plan around any income.

How early should I apply?

Start at least six months before your intake. That gives you time for tests, documents, applications and your visa.

Does ERN charge for the first consultation?

No. Your first consultation with ERN is free and comes with no obligation.
